When I started planning my wedding, I had my checklist: venue, dress, photographer, florist—the usual. I didn’t even know “wedding content creator” was a thing until my planner mentioned it. At first, I thought, Isn’t that what the photographer’s for? But now, looking back, hiring one was hands-down one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day.

Our content creator was like having a best friend with a camera and a sixth sense for special moments. She wasn’t intrusive or in the way—honestly, half the time I didn’t even notice she was filming. By the next day, she sent me a sneak peek reel of our first look, my bridal party hyping me up, and my now-husband getting emotional at the altar… I cried all over again. 

What I loved most was how real the footage felt. Our photographer captured the stunning portraits—no doubt. But she gave us the raw, goofy, emotional in-between moments: my mom zipping up my dress while tearing up, my bridesmaids dancing around me in robes, and my best friend fixing my veil before we walked down the aisle. Those are the moments I didn’t know I’d miss until I saw them captured.

Oh, and let’s talk social media. My content creator had edited a beautiful highlight reel and a couple of vertical clips that were ready to share the next day! I received texts from family and friends saying, “I feel like I was there!”—even people who couldn’t attend got to experience the day in a way that felt real and immediate.

If you’re a bride-to-be on the fence about hiring a content creator, trust me: do it. Your wedding day goes by in a blink, and having those candid, joy-filled moments saved forever is priceless. It felt like getting to experience my wedding all over again, from a totally different (and beautiful) perspective.
